Slavery as a Cause

Slavery as a Cause
Slavery was brought to america in the seventeenth century and the first slaves to enter the american colonies landed in James town. For the countries to obtain slaves they would pay one tribe to defeat and capture another, the paid tribe would then give the captured natives to the countries. This soon caught  on and soon tribes were beating, tormenting, and selling each other to other countries for slave trade. This continued for many years, after the fall of the British hold on the colonies and 20 years after the start of America, during this time many people in slavery became depressed and rebelled, killed, and even attempted suicide.
After 20 years it was declared that slave trade was banned, but it did not ban the use of slavery. By the the time the U.S.A. started nearing the revolution most of the norther states started to free slaves, mostly due to the lack of fertile soil making farming useless so slaves were not needed. Soon the united states was divided between free or slave states; since each estate gets at least two seats in the house of representatives there was a struggle to keep bot slave and not slave states equal. Slavery was one of the most disturbing things in history because of the inhumanity shown by other humans, it also shows how greedy people are for money and how lazy people can get.
